We usually meet monthly on Wednesday afternoons – our lovely members ranging in horticultural knowledge and ability but all sharing the same passion of gardens and gardening. Over the course of the year visits to horticultural places of interest are arranged, as well as members opening up their own gardens to share with others. Whenever we meet, over a cup of tea or coffee, any current, relevant, green-finger, information is shared and any new concepts or ideas for the group welcomed, so that everyone is supported and included.
Our members range from novice to experienced gardeners. We plan our programme in January when there is little going on in the garden. We learn from each other and share a common love of gardens and gardening. We enjoy looking round each other’s gardens and, over a cup of tea (and cake), take it in turns to host. Our programme includes visits to public gardens or nurseries, which may incur additional costs for transport, speaker, or admission fees etc.
