Description: This is a really fun group so we would really love you to bring your own talents to this friendly group. Between us we have a diverse range of skills based on working with textiles and fabrics generally, including making soft toys, crochet, and dress making, or whatever takes your fancy.  There is a variety of experience within the group and much sharing of tips and suggestions.  Members bring along items of their choice to work with and take advantage of the expertise on hand.

So even if you have never worked with fabrics before and want to learn, just come along and we’ll get you started, we have loads of space waiting to be creatively filled!

WHAT DO I NEED FOR CRAFT?

At the Craft group there is a basic sewing machine available, and one of the members brings along an

overlocker for others to use.

If you prefer to use your own machine, please bring it along, but we will have to arrange for it to be PAT tested, see below, before you can use it.

There is also a general needlework  and sewing kit on hand. Most members bring along their own bits and pieces.

Handicrafts

We currently have two handicrafts Groups, Craft, and Patchwork & Quilting.

PAT TESTING

It is a requirement of our insurance cover that all mains powered electrical equipment used at our meetings must be tested for electrical safety. This is known as PAT testing, and we have arranged to have this carried out locally.

There is a small nominal charge for this service.
